Geer should track Strava activity tag for flagging an indoor ride
I think Strava has changed this at some point, but my rides do not get properly tracked in Geer if using an indoor only part.
I do have a bike which I also run outdoors, so there is no “indoor” bike in Strava. However Strava adds a tag to the activity which tracks it as indoors. But it seems that Geer is not using that? At least the part which I have set to indoor only does not get any usage.
Thanks,
Tobias

We shipped the fix today 🫶
Strava knows two kinds of indoor rides: virtual rides (Zwift and similar) and regular rides tagged as indoor cycling, for example trainer rides recorded with a bike computer. Geer used to recognize only virtual rides. Now both kinds count as indoor: they add mileage to indoor only parts and are excluded from outdoor only parts correctly.
⚠️ Important: If you use indoor only or outdoor only parts, run a manual sync in your settings to correct the mileage.

I already looked into it and found out that we are filtering correctly, but only for “VirtualRide”. That are indoor rides coming from Zwift and co. But there’s another parameter Strava tracks, and that is “Trainer” when indoor rides come from a bike computer. This should be included in our algorithm of course. Thank you so much for this nudge. We will ship a fix asap 🙏
